About Meredith Walter

Meredith Walter is a North Carolina Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and owner of Peak Appraising, LLC. A resident of the Raleigh area since 1994, Meredith has more than three decades of familiarity with the Triangle and has seen firsthand the significant growth and transformation of the area's communities and residential real estate markets. Meredith is a graduate of Virginia Tech and began her appraisal career in 2008. She became a North Carolina Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in 2012 and, after gaining several years of experience as a certified appraiser, established Peak Appraising in 2016.

With more than 15 years of residential appraisal experience, Meredith has appraised a wide range of properties throughout the Triangle, including single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, new construction, rural and acreage properties, and homes with unique or complex characteristics. Her combination of long-term familiarity with the Triangle and extensive residential appraisal experience provides a strong foundation for understanding the area's diverse neighborhoods, changing market conditions, new development, and the factors that influence residential property values.

Meredith approaches each assignment with careful research, local market analysis, professional judgment, and clear reporting. This approach is particularly important for private and professional appraisal assignments involving estates, retrospective valuations, divorce, property transfers, and other circumstances in which the appraisal may be relied upon for significant financial or legal decisions.
